Jonathan Chacko, summer trip 02-05 is working for Gospel for Asia as a Web Designer. The primary aim of Gospel for Asia’s ministry is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never before heard His name. Gospel for Asia trains and sends native missionaries because they have proven extremely effective. They are already familiar with the language and culture, and they live at the level of the people they serve, thus removing many social barriers. Jon is serving as a vital link in their US office, connecting more than 16,500 native missionaries in Asia with prayer and financial supporters in the West. For more information, you can contact Jon at jonchacko@gfa.org
Moses Sanchez, summer trip 09 is working for Student Venture. SV is a faith-based and youth focused — an organization committed to helping teenagers and their families navigate the inherent turbulent years of adolescence. SV offers programs which include discussion groups, focused one-to-one counsel, leadership training and retreats. In all these activities, students are in touch with people who care and are able to help develop in the social, mental, and spiritual dimensions of life. Moses is currently working with Grand Street Campus, which is composed of three schools: Legal Studies High School, EBT High School, and Progress High School. All these schools are located in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. As for details, I am working with a Leadership program in the school, as well as the Varsity and JV football team. The team is called Grand Street Wolves. Along with mentoring the guys on the team through team talks, I am also helping to lead a bible study with about six varsity football players. For more information you can go to their web site www.svnyc.com or contact Moses at moses.sanchez@studentventure.com.
